Looking for the most effective, versatile, and professional-grade Universal Exercise Unit (UEU) for your therapy practice? The Summit Flex from Summit Sensory Gym is the ultimate therapy cage system designed to support pediatric and adult patients through a wide range of physical, occupational, and sensory-motor goals. We are proud to be the only U.S. manufacturer of Universal Exercise Units, setting the standard for quality, innovation, and clinical impact.
✅ What Is a Universal Exercise Unit?
The Universal Exercise Unit (UEU)—also known as a Spider Cage, Cage Therapy System, Ability Exercise Unit, Guthrie Smith Frame, or Archimedes Pulley Therapy System—is a highly adaptable rehabilitation frame that enables patients to move, stand, balance, and build strength using bungee cords, belts, suits, and pulley systems. This dynamic framework provides customizable resistance and support, helping individuals achieve greater independence and functional movement outcomes.
🔧 NEW: Integrated UEU Suspension Tracking Rail
Our upgraded Summit Flex UEU now features a premium center-mounted tracking rail that allows a suspended patient in a therapy suit to glide smoothly from the back to the front of the cage. This addition is perfect for gait training, walking therapy, and core strengthening, making the Summit Flex ideal for advanced therapy applications. The tracking rail enhances mobility and safety, creating more engaging and functional movement experiences for patients.

💼 Summit Flex UEU: Built for Clinics That Expect More
Whether you're treating children with developmental delays, adults recovering from neurological injury, or clients working toward functional independence, the Summit Flex UEU with Suspension Tracking Rail gives you the flexibility, durability, and clinical performance you need.
Material Quality and Durability
Our sensory therapy gyms are constructed entirely from steel, offering a level of durability and strength unmatched by the wood-based structures found in most other sensory gyms. This robust material selection ensures that the equipment is built to last, even under heavy, consistent use, providing a reliable environment for therapy over time.
Engineering Excellence
Designed by skilled engineers with a deep understanding of structural integrity, every component of our sensory therapy gym meets the highest safety and performance standards. This precision engineering ensures your sensory gym not only provides therapeutic benefits but does so with the utmost reliability and structural soundness.
Safety and Accessibility
Unlike traditional ceiling-mounted systems that can pose serious risks, the Summit Adventure Series is entirely free-standing, allowing for comprehensive inspection and maintenance of all components. The elimination of ceiling grid mounts—known for their potential to fail and cause severe injury—results in a safer, more accessible setup. By prioritizing a ground-up approach to safety, Summit Sensory Gym offers a worry-free environment for every therapy session.
KEY SHIPPING DETAILS
Summit Sensory Gym’s custom frames, sensory equipment, and safety padding are large, heavy, or both, which can make shipping and receiving them more challenging. Our products are typically shipped in custom packaging through a 3rd party LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight carrier. Depending on your proximity to our warehouse in Denver, CO, transit time generally ranges from one to two weeks within the 48 contiguous United States and Canada.
If you order only smaller items like handholds, shipments will usually be handled by carriers like UPS, FedEx, or USPS, with no special arrangements needed.
However, if your order includes frames or padding, you’ll need to be ready for delivery.
AFTER YOU RECEIVE SHIPMENT TRACKING INFO
Expect a PHONE CALL from the carrier to arrange the delivery time and details. Be sure to answer these calls promptly to avoid delays.
Arrange for help to unload your delivery. Frames will arrive on a pallet, which you’ll need to unpackage and move to the final location yourself. The driver will only place the pallet at the curb—they will NOT assist with unpacking or moving the shipment.
UPON DELIVERY
DO NOT SIGN for your shipment until you’ve thoroughly inspected both the packaging and products for any damages.
If damages are found, document them immediately in writing and with photos. You must initiate a damage claim with the driver/carrier BEFORE THEY LEAVE.
Contact Summit Sensory Gym (Sales@SummitSensory.com) as soon as possible to discuss the claim and options for replacing or retaining the damaged product.
Please note: If you sign for your shipment without inspecting the products or documenting any damages, you may lose the ability to file a damage claim with the carrier.
Because Summit Sensory Gym products are built to order and are generally very heavy and cumbersome to ship, we do not accept returns. To ensure that you choose the right products and are super-happy when you get them installed, the highly experienced Summit team is available to guide you every step of the way. We’ll make sure that you receive the right advice and products based on your needs before you place your order. If you have any questions, please contact us at Sales@SummitSensory.com.
